Bunting, Strawberrys and Tea with Alice

As you can see from the picture i have been very busy sewing some bits and bobs, shopping and tea drinking. As i am doing my first craft fair in August i thought i would crack on and get some things made as i will be 34 weeks pregnant by then and unable to reach my sewing machine. ive made some bookmarks, strawberry pin cushions and bunting. what else do you think i should make? i plan on making some crochet brooches and cuffs, some teacup pin cushions and some upcycled tea light holders. i have a cupcake stand full of hair candy already made. I have never sold at a craft fair before and havnt a clue what to take so im just going to take what i have and see what goes down well, any suggestions you have would help me out lots as im sure i will be very nervous leading up to it.

I got this lovely book from amazon last week and i cant put it down the pictures are amazing and the instructions seem to be clear and well thought out. i think i may actually make something from this craft book instead of just look through it. Also the lovely lady from down the road gave me some fabric which has now been washed and crammed carefully placed in to my ever growing fabric stash. i love fabric.

and last but not least here are some pics of the bunting i have been working on, they are up in my folksy shop but id love to hear any comments you may have about the photography, my blog/shop or even the bunting itself.
Thanks for reading x x x

Who likes strawberrys?

The answer is......me and my family. Infact we did a P.Y.O trip at the weekend and managed to go a little mad. We ended up paying 7 quid for a basket of strawberrys. Ahhhh well im sure we will eat them, and we did enjoy a bit of time together in the sunshine so it was well worth it, the strawberrys were massive and very yummy and im sure the kids ate more than we paid for.

I love doing simple things like strawberry picking it makes me appreciate how lucky we are to have access to lovely activities like that. Has anyone else had any fun outdoors adventures recently?

Busy busy busy

Today has been filled with sewing and cooking. I love to do both of these as I get a great deal of satisfaction from making things for me and my family. I had a go at making some strawberrys from this months fabulous molly makes.

I had this lovely blue metal basket thing as a pressie when I was pregnant. It held a brilliant eddible bouqet made from fruit,it lived on my kitchen window sil untill recently and I was at a bit of a loss as what to do with it. But I think the strawberrys look just fine.

I also got some more yummy fabric in the post today. I think I may have a fabric
obsession,i buy some at least once a week.

And last but not least my yummy dinner. Its a sort of chick pea/ sweet potato chilli type soup. It was supposed to be just a vegie chilli but it didnt look right so I added a few things, blended it a bit and served with creme frache and naan bread.
Whatever it was it was utterly yummy and the slow cooker was soon empty.

I like to experiment with food and hardly ever follow a recipie to the letter. I find that the more I do it the more confident I become with flavours, its a fun learning adventure.
