Blog from the forest

Today i went to Cannock chase, its a beautiful place especially when its sunny, which it was. the kids loved the woodland park ant the wildlife trail. but they really loved the enchanted fairy forest. its so cute, there are little sets of stairs carved in to the trees and little fairy doors put over them. inside the little doors is sprinkled fairy dust and above the little apartments, amongst the branches are stringed little washing lines with fairy clothing pegged to them. I'm not sure but i may have enjoyed it more than the kids! we plan on going back soon so i promise to get some more detailed photos.
Look how calm the woods look

And this is a picture of one of the fairy trees. can you see the little doors and washing line?

This was a lovely piece of woodland art, you can add to it yourself

I love it when the sun is shining, I'm so easily affected by the weather. Ive had good company, sunny weather and a rather nice Cappuchino so all in all one fab day

As i promised here are some pictures. ive been a busy bunny recently, i hate to sit around doing nothing, i get bored, depressed and sleepy. Id much rather be having a nice walk or doing some crochet. Recently i have taken up sewing again, i really need to get in to it again, my poor old sewing machine is looking very neglected and could probably do with a good service.

ive not been up to much, just work. It feels like all i do is work sometimes but i bet we all feel like that at some point in our lives, i always thought id be further along than this though, im 30 this year and always imagined id have a lush pad in the country by now. Never mind ill aim to have it by the time im 40.

im making alot for my home at the mo, here is a cute cosy for my cafetiere, it took no time at all i was really surprised by the outcome, i love it! i might make my mom one for mothers day.

And i also made a teacup pincushion for my new pins, it only took me 5 minutes, im definitely going to make more of these for gifts.

I got some fake cherries from china a while back and ive been wracking my brains on how to store them until i use them, they have just been sitting in the grey plastic bag they came in (what an awful shame)
They are so pretty so i decided to display them sort like cherry jam....in a jar (good huh?)

A nice bit of gingham ribbon just to finish the jar off, what do you think? it would be a shame to use them all now.

and last but not least, it was pancake day last week and i spent over an hour making 2 massive batches of pancakes. It took Mr B and the little buns just under 15 minutes to finish off the lot, thats gotta be a good thing ....right?

ive been doing ALOT of thinking....

....and that cant be good?...can it? ive been looking around lots of very inspiring blogs, they all have beautiful pictures and brilliant narrative. ive fallen in love with a few of them because they are just so darn inspiring.i check them almost on a daily basis in the hope that the blogger has posted more lovely pictures to excite and inspire me.

im going to try and learn more about blogging, ive been looking in to what makes a good blog and id like to apply those findings to my own. i love to blog when i get the time, ive got so much running around in my head that its nice to get it all written down to mull over at a later date, and if it can bring some amusement to someone else than thats great too.

Anyway in future i am going to try and blog more often, im going to set aside an hour a week to blog my little heart out, im going to try and figure out how to make my home page look lovely and im going to take lots more photos. Id also like to stop waisting my time, somedays i look back and wonder what it is ive been up to all day, sure i childmind and i sometimes o use it as an excuse to not do much with myself ( not the kids, thay always get all of my attention )but i am going to do more in the garden maybe, the kids would love that im sure :)

anyway i was going to post some lovely pics of things ive been doing but blogger is being slow and ive gotta go get the littles from nursery. i hope to blog real soon x x x

P.S id love to know what you all do for a living im so nosey you see and i like to know how other ppl fit things in to their days.

Look what i did

Hi, im blogging again, i did say that i would :)
ive uploaded a few pikkies of what ive been up to

here are some white sausages with ears, they later become fully formed bunnies but i was tempted to leave them like that, they are so yummy.
my granny square blanket is getting big, although i dont do as many rows a week as id like, the bigger it gets the longer the rows take to complete but i will get there, ive been doing it for 6ish months now and i want it to be big enough to cover my king size bed. so im thinking it will be ready in maybe 8 years when my eldest goes to uni :)

ive been crocheting these cute merry go rounds, i found the tutorial from lola novas blog, im a bit rubbish at technology and have no idea how to link it so if you would like the page just google lola nova merry go round frame. ive made loads, well to many really, i do intend on putting pictures in them but they also look fab just on the wall.

ive also been making jar cosys, they are so so easy and the tutorial that i got from carinas craft blog is so easy to follow, she does the best tutorials!

i thought that maybe you may like to see my most favorite room in the house, its not quite finished yet but i absolutly love love love it! its my conservatory, its such an inspiring and thoughtful place, id sit in there all day everyday if i could, its got all my yarn, ribbon, fabric, craft materials and books in it and a nice big table for me to sit at, or my favorite chair to just sit in with a cup of tea and look out in to my garden. i cant wait for the summer :)

My inspiration book shelf

Today Mr Bunny has been hard at work painting my (*ahem* OUR) kitchen, i wanted it pink but Mr B was not impressed so we settled on a green, it was a baby blue which i loved but i fancied a change. The green is nice but im not sure if i like it in the kitchen, im sure it will grow on me. Maybe it needs more pink accessories?

My teacup collection has also grown alot thanks to my mum, ive had to start putting them ontop of the cabenets as i have run out of room inside but i think it looks nice.

A little snap shot of all the lovely crafty books i have, some of them are really old, the orange on my gran gave me and its quite amuzing in the way it is written.

i also got this lovely book recently, its such a good crochet book, how cute are these dolls???

and this tea cosy, it will be my next project i think

right after ive made this absolutly amazing blanket

The book is called cute and easy crochet and its by a lady called Nicki Trench. Here is the cover of the book, how cute is it?? ive only really tatted about with it but ive had a little read and the patterns seem easy to follow and there is a section at the front giving clear and well illustrated instructions on differnt stitches incase you are a begginer (or just forget how to do them like i so often do) i think its written using english crochet terms but its not to hard to convert it to american crochet if you need to, im sure you can get a table of converted crochet terms offa the internet
and thats it really, tomorrow is sunday so hopefully a nice relaxing day *Hopefully*
take care

its been a while

hi, its been ages since ive had the time to blog, i havnt really got time now but i dont care, this past few weeks has been busy, and today we had to take your cat to the emegency vets, its cost us £100, but she did get some pain killers and a 14 day course of antibiotics. She had been fighting with another cat and the cat bite had formed an absis, anyway it burst last night and left a big gaping hole, we didnt know what had happened so we had to take her to the vets, i wouldnt have her suffer. well at least i know what im getting for my early xmas pressie now.....a vets bill :)
ive also finished my red crochet scarf this week, im very happy with it, i know its not perfect but i love it anyway, thats the point of handmade right?

ive also cracked on with my slytherin inspired scarf, ive told myself that im not allowed to start anything new untill i have finished all of my started projects and i ordered this cute book from amazon the other day.

and im sure all my time will be taken up with making things from that once it gets here, i think i have approximatly 4 days to complete all my projects before it gets to me. (but i want it noooooow) so far i have fixed 3 dresses, finished my red scarf and made a load of things to sell on ebay and take to the tattooists to sell for me. i still havnt finished the dreaded blanket but i had better get a wriggle on as the baby is due in 3 weeks, i spoke to the lady that owns my local haberdshery and she was very helpful and recomended blanket binding instead of bias binding (i never knew there was such a thing) i was a little embarrased at not knowing this but as i told her, its a learning curve for me and if you dont ask you dont get. :)
i have also been thinking alot about starting a craft/sewing group, im going to look in to it definatly, if i pull it off i really cant say, ill keep you posted tho.
here is a pretty picture for you to look at as i am now tired and really need to go to bed, night night x
